Peter Abraham Calls for Civility
Kevin Cullen today called for an end to ‘Yankees Suck’ chants. It’s the kind of drivel written simply to garner attention (mission accomplished) and it’s rightly getting ripped apart across the internet. Evidently Mr. Cullen missed the ‘boston sucks’ chants during the All-Star game. I’ve never chanted ‘Yankees Suck’, but I might do it simply to piss off Kevin Cullen.
Of course, Peter Abraham approves.
…it’s nice to see somebody stand up for civility.
Cue laugh track. Peter Abraham’s blog is filled daily with Red Sox hate; commenters often applauding Red Sox injuries. And it’s not rare to find both racist and homophobic slurs either. Abraham should clean up his own house before worrying about his neighbors.
It should also be noted that Peter Abraham, who loves to call out Red Sox players for being classless, routinely refers to the fans at Fenway as drunks, kissed Roger Clemens’ ass during his last year in New York (model of class that Clemens is) and once called his attendance at the Winter Meetings in Nashville as a hillbilly nightmare*.
So when Peter Abraham preaches about civility you might want to consider the source.
*Hmm, chanting Yankees Suck to a bunch of millionaires or putting down an entire region of the country. Tough to say which is less civil. I do know which is more bigoted, however.
