Johnny Damon’s Wife was NOT a Stripper
Johnny Damon recently claimed he considered retirement during spring training last year. If anyone believes Damon seriously thought of hanging up his cleats they haven’t followed his career. Damon, who craves attention, is no longer the star player he once was. But there are other ways of getting your name in the paper. Making outrageous statements is one. If Curt Schilling made the same statement he’d be raked over the coals for craving attention. For some reason Damon escapes criticism.
I’m guessing the biggest reason Damon gets a pass is no one takes him seriously. When Schilling grabs at attention it’s considered calculating. Damon simply can’t help himself. He, much like Roger Clemens, is something of a man-child. I’ve never tried to figure out what goes through Damon’s head, but I’m guessing it’s not much.
That probably explains why Damon’s so thrilled his wife Michelle recently posed for Sports Illustrated in a bikini. In his mind there’s probably no greater honor for a female. Compared to his previous wife who claimed Damon cheated with Michelle during their marriage and had such an angry temper she thought he was on steroids I guess I can’t blame him.
Michelle has had to deal with her own rumor since becoming Mrs. Damon; adamantly denying that she was once a stripper. So if you’re keeping score posing in your bikini is good, stripping bad. Regardless, I’m inclined to believe her.
I simply can’t fathom how anyone would mistake Michelle Damon for a stripper.
