Ellen Feiss
I was still a windows user when the infamous Ellen Feiss switch ad hit the air. Though most people considered the ads only moderately successful, it was those ads that first got me to consider Apple as a PC alternative. As far as Mrs. Feiss herself, I thought it obvious she was either high, nuts, or both.
Macenstein recently scored an interview with the now 19 year old Ellen Feiss. At once she seems perceptive, naive, funny, bitter, intelligent, clueless, and a bit of a hypocrite, but still entertaining.
Sticking to her story that she wasn’t high during the ad the most perplexing part of the interview was her refusal to appear on Letterman fearing she’d be presented as the “stoner chick”, yet later appearing in a crappy movie by a director that hired her because of her “internet star power” and to film a scene where she trips over mushrooms.
Ah, the insanity of youth.
